Welcome to Annie Bear Gifts & Candle Co.

My journey began when I moved from South Dakota to California as a teenager. One of my favorite places was a small downtown shop that handcrafted bath and body products. I loved the beautiful soaps, comforting fragrances, and the joy those simple handmade items brought to people. From that moment on, I dreamed of creating a shop of my own.

Like many dreams, mine was put on hold as life moved forward. I earned a business degree, built a career, got married, and focused on the responsibilities of everyday life. The dream never disappeared, but there always seemed to be a reason to wait for “someday.”

Then I lost my nephew at just 25 years old.

At his celebration of life, someone spoke about the dash between the dates on a headstone, the small line that represents everything we do, experience, and leave behind. They shared how much my nephew had accomplished in his short life, including composing music and releasing two albums. He didn’t wait for the perfect time to pursue his dreams. He lived them.

That message changed me.

I realized that if I wanted to build the business I had dreamed about for so many years, I needed to start now.

I began learning the art of creating handcrafted soaps, candles, bath products, and gifts. I spent countless hours researching ingredients, testing recipes, and perfecting every detail. Whenever possible, I incorporate herbs, flowers, fruits, and botanicals from my own garden, bringing a little piece of nature into each creation.

Today, Annie Bear Gifts & Candle Co is built on the belief that life is made up of small moments worth celebrating. Whether you’re treating yourself after a long day, sending a thoughtful gift to someone you love, or marking a special occasion, I hope my products help create moments of comfort, relaxation, and joy.

Every item is handcrafted in small batches with care, attention to detail, and a whole lot of heart. Behind every candle, soap, gift basket, and self-care product is a dream that finally became reality and a reminder to cherish the time we’re given.
